How a pedestrian would typically see the square
The rather complex process of drawing a fisheye on site with no tools!
Campidoglio
2017
For the final project during the Yale drawing course in Rome, I drew the Campidoglio by Michelangelo . My interest was in how this city filled with squares designed for crowds are in fact viewed these days largely by CCTV cameras. This is a hand drawn ‘Fish Eye’ view of the square as seen by the statue in the centre of the square. A view no person would ever have, in a form no person ever sees.
